Apple Hill Inn (Taftsville)

The charm of this Inn is the location high on a hill in the Green Mountains, overlooking the serpentine Ottaquechee River and waterfalls to as far as Mt. Smarts, 30 miles away in New Hampshire. It is a remote and pastoral location yet is completely convenient to all the area’s attractions.

A bountiful, healthy (natural/organic) gourmet breakfasts are served in buffet style always prepared by Beverlee, the innkeeper/owner, in her magnificent country kitchen, where many guests enjoy having morning coffee or tea and fun conversation. . Special diets are always accommodated.

For your safety and comfort, Apple Hill Inn is a non-smoking property. Gift certificates are available.

All rooms, named for apples, have a private bath. The beds are sumptuously made with high quality, all cotton bedding and topped with luxurious down comforters.

The Paradise room is a spacious studio guestroom furnished with a pineapple carved  queen size four poster bed, dressed in fine linens, downy pillows and  down comforters. The décor is restful with traditional colonial  blues and crisp whites, Williamsburg l8th century chests, and soft oriental  rugs. The four large picture windows reassure our guests that the “hills are alive.”  The perfect room for honeymooners, families, business travelers (long  or short stays). Private entrance, television, dvd, stereo, internet access, private  bath (with a view) and kitchenette. The Sunrise  room is bright yellow with large picture windows that overlook the gardens and view, as far as thirty miles away. It is decorated with l8th century original antiques and oriental rugs. The curly maple four poster queen size bed, was handcrafted by a talented Vermont artisan from the Notheast Kingdom. The Keepsake  room, the soft colors of blues and light greens frame the lovely queen size four poster canopy bed. It has an antique lace canopy and is dressed with imported linens, down comforter and down pillows. The view through the large picture window overlooks the rolling upper fields, and the colorful perennial gardens.
