Woodstock Village is not just picturesque, but has a great deal to offer both residents and visitors in terms of attractions. It is the perfect place to bring up kids or indeed bring kids for a visit.
If you're in town for a visit you might want to check out the two local museums below. They make a nice change from playing poker, shopping and other more urban pursuits. Of course, many visitors to Vermont come in the Fall, which is the best time to see the foliage. We'd recommend New England in Fall, but would also like to remind you that Vermont in Winter, Spring and Summer is also great.
