The Grist Mill House

Grist Mill House has been charmingly restored into a bed and breakfast that is on the National Register of Historical Places. Handsome, large hand hewed-beams, mellow old floors, interesting antiques, lovely country gardens, decks and patios terracing down to the brook are part of the ambiance. Enjoy conversation in a spacious, cozy living room with a woodstove, comfortable couches, rocking chairs and game table. Special packages available upon request. Open year round. Take Route 106 approximately 5 miles south to the village of South Woodstock. The Grist Mill House is on the right a half mile after the Kedron Valley Stables.

     Your hosts, Peter and Carole Pickett, will gladly provide you with trail maps for hikes, rides, walks, covered bridge scouting, fly fishing spots. You can see parts of Vermont most tourists never dreamed of! The Grist Mill House is an ideal place to stay if you are attending an event at the Green Mountain Horse Association just a mile from our B & B.

The Kedron Room has an antique queen size sleigh bed with a handmade Vermont quilt This room also has a single bed loft. The Rood Room is named for the last miller to run the mill, George Rood. It has a set of bunk beds , a single pineapple bed with a Vermont made bearpaw quilt, a single bed loft and a double bed loft. This is a small room with nooks and crannies that close families and children love! The Miller’s Room can be configured with two twin beds with matching quilts or a king-sized bed. This room is light and airy and overlooks the herb garden and patios.
