Salt Ash Inn (Plymouth)

The Salt Ash Inn is an historic Vermont country inn, located in Plymouth (the birthplace and summer White House of President Calvin Coolidge). We are located just down a short hill from the Coolidge Homestead.

Our classic Vermont inn offers 17 uniquely decorated country-style guest rooms (all with private bath, hairdryer, Cable TV, and phone)..

  • There are warm common areas for lounging or reading, a wonderful pub and fireplace lounge.......
  • and beautiful grounds for strolling, sunbathing, swimming or relaxing in the hot tub.

We are surrounded by four seasons of recreation and natural beauty. Our neighboring state parks, country clubs, mountains, lakes, and rivers provide unsurpassed hiking and biking trails, fishing, golf and tennis, boating, kayaking and canoeing. Local farms offer wholesome Vermont-made products (such as cheddar cheese, real buffalo mozzarella, and maple syrup) as well as horseback riding, sleigh rides, llama ranches, petting farms, farm-life expos, and cut-your-own Christmas trees.

nice quiet location on the second floor of the Main Inn, above the bay-windowed main dining room. Victorian floral decor, large brass bed, with writing desk and reading area in the bay window. One of our larger rooms but the tiniest (and cutest!) bathroom in the house. The Green Mountain Room at the Salt Ash Inn: With the Summit room next door, the third floor only has two rooms and is a good choice for couples traveling together. This room also has the largest bathroom in the inn! Old time Salt Ash veterans may remember the "Goldbrook" room, which had a double bed and a bunk bed. Now the Goldbrook room is the bath for Green Mountain! The Pico Room at the Salt Ash Inn in Plymouth, Vermont; he Pico Room is in the Main Inn ell that connects the house to the former barn, on the ground floor, behind the kitchen. The large bath has a tub/shower. This room opens through sliding doors to a small deck/patio that overlooks the rear rock-garden embankment, from which there is direct access to the backyard pool and hot tub area, without having to go back through the house. (The deck/patio is shared with the neighboring Killington room.)
